Notes
The
concessions are some of the best in the league, grilled hot dogs really are good.
Apparently the concession buildings have been upgraded as well.
Your best best as a visiting fan is to park along Merrifield road or
at the middle school next to the airport. Lights are not very bright, probably the most poorly lit stadium
in the SMAC, making photography, radio broadcasting, filming, stat
keeping, and reporting difficult. NOTE ON THE LIGHTS: The lights have been upgraded and replaced in time for the 2014 season. The eight fixtures will be cut down to four light poles, and the two poles on each side in front of the stands will be removed, they were paid for in part by Supermodel Kate Upton, the daughter of Niles AD Jeff Upton.
Stadium Directions
M-139 to US-31 South, exit exit 7 (Walton
Rd.). Turn Left, stay on road
until it meets up with old 31, turn right at old 31, turn left on Wayne
Street. Wayne Street is just after the railroad bridge.
Continue on Wayne Street until it ends (school will be in front of you).
Turn Right on 14th, and then a quick left onto Eagle Street.
Nearby Restaurants
Nothing real close to Niles High School, most of the
restaurants are on 11th street. Hardee's, Long John
Silvers, Arby's, McDonalds, Mancino's, Pizza Hut, Wendy's.
Further south of US 12 there is a Wings Etc, Papa John's,
and Burger King. There also are a few eateries in
downtown Niles.
